New game added to our venue.

September 12th, 2008

Not only are we having Guitar Hero (which will be hosted by guitarclash.com) but we have also added a brand new game to our venue, Dragon Ball Z Budokai. It will only be $5 to enter that tournament as well. We also will be having an after party at a condo near by which we will only allow those of which who’ve paid for an entry into our tournament and are older than the age of 18 to attend. It will be right up the street from the Georgia World Congress Center and will happen directly after the tournament! We will rendezvous back to the condo and continue our party there. There will also be a pre-party for those selectively invited to attend only.

Second Impact is near.

September 5th, 2008

As if the last Impact Clash wasn’t enough we’ve got this second one that is going to be hyped out of orbit. Not only have we added more games to the roster, not only is our pre-register list higher than before, but we’re having an after and pre-party for anyone interested! The details will be revealed very shortly and there will be a major surprise at the after party which will be very delightful to the eyes. You’ll have to find out by attending our after party to know what that is. Impact Clash II: The Gift & The Curse is less than one month away. Make sure you’ve pre-registered. We’re trying to make this event all that, and much, much more.

Impact Clash II: Gift & The Curse Tournament! Oct 11, 2008

July 2nd, 2008

That’s right, we’ve already planned our next tournament at the same location in Atlanta, GA. It will be located in building “B” room 202. Furthermore, it will also feature more games. The following games have been added to the venue:

1. Tekken Tag Tournament
2. Neo Geo Battle Col.
3. Street Fighter Alpha 2
4. World Heroes Perfect
5. King of Fighters: UM 98

Want to see a new game not here? Head over to our thread in the forums and voice your concerns!

Results from Impact Clash

July 2nd, 2008

I’d like to thank everyone for coming out to my tournament! We had a great time and there will definitely be another one and not one year from now. Impact Clash will happen two (possibly three) times a year! We’re having another one in October/November (fall).

Also, we have a ranking system now at my website Impact Clash located at www.impactclash.com/EGL (The EGL part must be in capital letters.) and it allows for you to challenge other players, create profiles, and more. These challenges will be in person challenge but you issue a challenge to someone, meet up and play, and then both of you put up the results. This way, we can get a true idea of who is the best at in the Southeast. You can also play through GGPO.net or F2P. So far this is for the Southeast but if needed it can be anywhere else. I encourage everyone to join and hopefully we can have a great competitive community outside of the tournaments.

Big thanks to Larry coming and helping out with the event and helping with the brackets. Big thanks to Coolbreeze for offering big help as well. And all of you who attended and bought any time of equipment. Shadow Ace I am sorry for your Wii being broken. Brahn0913 I am sorry that your games were lost and I feel really bad for this. Next time I will hope to come up with a more efficient system so that things like this do not happen.

Now on with the tournament results:

Brawl (Singles)

Unfortunately this bracket went FUBAR when the person in charge of the bracket (not anyone working for me or in my crew) was put in charge of the brackets and they were all messed up. If anyone would like to lend a hand about the order of the brackets please, let me know whenever you get a chance. Here are the original brackets:

King of Fighters XI

The brackets for this game were not returned back to me. If anyone can help with them I can post the results. Basically here’s a picture of how the brackets were looking before they stopped being reported to me:

If anyone can help I’d be glad to post them.

Guilty Gear: Accent Core
Guilty Gear Accent Core’s bracket sheet was not filled out either. It was given to me without a proper bracket structure. If anyone can make any sense of it and tell me the results I can fix it. Here’s a link to how the original brackets looked up until they were reported to me:

Marvel VS Capcom 2

The brackets for this game were very weird. I tried my best to re-create them so they probably aren’t accurate past the top 3 but I tried my best to show it.

Our ranking system is now up use!

June 24th, 2008

Our ranking system it now up for use. There are still a bit of bugs within it but for the most part it is finished. You can go ahead and challenge other users to battle, join ladders for the Southeast (and pretty soon the United States), and earn points and ranking. This system will be the basis for which we will bracket people correctly. Remember, when you challenge someone you can either play in person, or through a type of online network. We hope you all enjoy it and make sure join the Southeast ladders so we can find out who truly is the best in the Southeast. If enough demand is there, we will open up more ladders for other regions in the United States. The ranking system can be found at www.impactclash.com/EGL

Shinblanka Competing at Impact Clash.

June 15th, 2008

Yes, the Shinblanka you all know who runs the final round tournament here in Atlanta is coming and he is competing in the competition. It’s also nice to have his expertize and knowledge there around the tournament. I look forward in seeing just how great of a player he is and finally meeting him soon.

Also, there are so many plans for the Southeast community coming up after the tournament that everyone has to look forward to as well. From a new ranking system in the works, to a brand new side project I am having which is secret at the moment and will be revealed before the summer is over. Everyone will find out in due time and believe me, when you see the new direction we’re aiming for you will be blown away.

I also met up with Metalmike once more again tonight and Street Fighter King as well. He really showed me a thing or two in Third Strike along with Super Turbo. We also played Fatal Fury Special as a little blast from the past game which was awesome and we shared some new ideas for the ranking system. It will be done before the tournament and trust me, it will be well worth it. Like I stated before, there’s several things in store for the Southeast and hopefully for the community as a whole as well. I hope to see everyone at Impact Clash and at any other events we have in the future. We’ll be sure to roll this out first thing at Impact Clash.

New look

June 11th, 2008

Some changes to the general layout are being made, dusting off my old wordpress skills. This post is just testing to make sure what I did was working without breaking anything. More a formality. So if you see something funky, that’s just because I’m in the middle of changing things around.

A new ranking system in the works.

June 11th, 2008

We are implementing a new ranking system that’s in the works for our website. This website will not only tally up points for those who attend Impact Clash but also those who attend other major tournaments within the Southeast. This list is crucial because we really need to have a list on paper as to who is best at what games in the Southeast. It will be finished within the next two weeks but for right now I need as many comments and suggestions for this new system as possible. Visit over to our forums in the topic posted right now and add any relevant information you can to the thread or leave your comments on this post as to what you think would be best for this system.
